Addy Mac’s Ice Cream Joins Foxtail Bakeshop’s Kitchen

A collaboration designed by the foodie gods has arrived

Foxtail Bakeshop and Addy Mac’s Ice Cream have joined culinary and creative forces. Central Oregonians can look forward to homemade ice cream this summer. For those of you who know and love Addy Mac’s Ice Cream truck, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can now get single and double scoops of the locally-made ice cream at The Box Factory bakery six days a week.
Addy Mac’s staple flavors like milk chocolate and peanut butter Oreo will be available Tuesday through Sunday from 8 am until 1 pm.

Justin Scott, owner of Addy Mac’s, joined Foxtail’s kitchen after deciding to close his well-known ice cream truck for the summer (due to COVID-19). While he’s still privately catering small events, the opportunity to join Nickol Hayden-Cady, owner of Foxtail Bakeshop and Kitchen, was one he couldn’t let pass.

“The menu will change from week to week with both new and experimental flavors,” Scott teases. This week’s new release includes a vegan coconut ginger ice cream made with coconut milk and cream (drool!).

Foxtail is currently scooping two Addy Mac’s classics: salted vanilla and roasted strawberry, which can be enjoyed by the scoop in a cup or cone, or served a la mode with one of Foxtail’s signature desserts. This month’s special, running through the end of July, includes a passionfruit and salted caramel milkshake.

Addy Mac’s can also be found around Bend at Barrio downtown, El Sancho eastside, and both Worthy Brewing Pub and Worthy Taps and Tacos locations.

About Eat Drink Bend

quote

I wanted to share more than where to eat, but what to eat. And not just what, but why? From where is the food resourced? Should it be paired with a beer, or a cocktail—and what kind? But most importantly, share the faces and tell the stories behind the people who make it all happen, showing support for small business in and around Bend.
