Thai curry baked eggs. Fried chicken benedict. Hong Kong egg tart flight. These are just a few of the mouthwatering menu items presented at Sen Thai Noodle’s new weekend brunch offering. And, we Central Oregonians who have long craved an Asian-inspired brunch or breakfast can now save the hours-long drive to Portland to get our craving fix.
What is Sen Thai Noodles & Hot Pot?
Sen Thai Noodles & Hot Pot arrived on the dining scene in spring 2021 along Newport Avenue, with literal prime real estate along Bend’s scenic Mirror Pond. Brought to life by the Westlund and Itti families, known for their popular downtown Wild Rose Northern Thai Eats, it was bound to be a hit.
Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows brighten the modern restaurant, where diners can enjoy classic hot pot and elevated Thai cuisine. Outside, patrons can sip on beautifully concocted drinks and munch on tapas and dishes with a tree-lined waterfront backdrop. Afterall, you can’t beat a summer evening outside with a vibrant mocktail and Sen’s top dishes.

Asian-inspired brunch in Bend
In early December of 2025, Sen announced its exciting new offering: an Asian-inspired breakfast and brunch menu—the first of its kind in Central Oregon. Now, to be frank, it was hard to contain our collective giddiness over this news; it’s no secret that Bend is in desperate need of a more diverse culinary scene. And, after scanning the menu, the anticipation only mounted.
What’s on the brunch menu at Sen?
In a recent visit to Sen, we tried more than half the menu to get the full experience. And an experience it was! From Thai iced coffee to sweet treats, here are some of the top Asian-inspired brunch items at Sen.

Brunch Bevs
You know the age-old adage: brunch requires a trio of beverages. One to caffeinate, one to hydrate, and one to cure (read: hair of the dog). Following this very important bit of brunch culture, the Thai iced coffee is the first to order. Strong, sweet, and topped with a bear-shaped coffee ice cube, this iced coffee will perk you up in more ways than one.
Whether you’re nursing a hangover or simply choose to honor the beverage trio, the next drink to arrive should be Sen’s wildly satiating Sriracha Bloody Mary. Spicy and infused with Thai chili-lime seasoning, it’s strongly recommended to sip this brunch cocktail alongside breakfast.

A few more brunch cocktail favorites include:
- Shenzhen Shiso Mimosa: sparkling wine and shiso-infused sake.
- Morning in Bangkok: a Thai coffee or iced tea twist on an espresso martini.
- Sparkle Motion: house-infused rosemary and lime leaf Gin, vermouth, ginger, grapefruit, and a Prosecco float.
Brunch Plates
There’s only one way to get a true brunch experience at Sen, and that’s the ol’ one-of-everything method. We started with the Thai curry-baked egg, and let me tell you one thing: I will have dreams about this plate. Two fresh eggs are baked in a savory red curry sauce and served alongside brioche or sourdough toast (I chose brioche). You will want to save any leftover toast to soak up any remaining curry sauce!

Next, the fried chicken Benedict. They didn’t skimp on serving size for this dish; it could easily feed two people on its own. Korean-style fried chicken comes atop brioche toast and is dressed in a Sriracha hollandaise-style sauce. Vegetarians can get in on the action with fried mushrooms in lieu of chicken. And the salad, oh the salad! Please, get the side salad with this one.
Finally, to seal the meal with a sweet treat, the Thai tea short stacks. Again, this plate serves a few, so order it to share with the table. Fluffy buttermilk pancakes come with caramelized almonds, fresh fruit, and a tableside reveal of Thai tea “syrup.”

Kids menu
Moms and Dads, worry not! There’s a fabulous kids’ menu available for brunch, and it’s equally as aesthetic as the grown-up menu. Children under 12 can choose from the kid plate with egg, bacon, and jook. Or, opt for the little bear pancake, a character pancake with all the sweet goodies any kid will appreciate. Kiddos, too, can get a frozen bear beverage, but this time with chocolate milk and an icy chocolate bear surrounded by whipped cream and sprinkles.

A win for Bend’s evolving food scene
Bend already scored big with the addition of Sen Thai Noodles & Hot Pot. After all, its owners are well-loved and respected for their Wild Rose restaurant, which rarely has an empty seat in the house. Still, this new weekend offering is a step in the direction that Bendites and visitors have been craving.
Sen serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check out Sen’s current brunch menu or make a reservation for brunch at Sen.
