Bend’s Best Brunch Spots for a Leisurely Brunch

Here in Central Oregon, we believe that brunch is a verb. Brunch in Bend is not just something you eat; it’s something you do. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, be sure to add one or more of these brunch spots to your weekend (or weekday!) itinerary. Here, we share some of the most popular dishes at these ten places for the best brunch in Bend, Oregon.

1. Blissful Spoon

If you’re searching for a weekday brunch, add Blissful Spoon to your list! This downtown Bend bistro is known for its gluten-free bakery items and international wine selections. And, their brunch and breakfast menu is available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday.

Blissful Spoon originated as a popular merchant at local farmer’s markets, serving gluten-free baked goods; their treats are so soft and chewy it’s hard to believe that they are really gluten-free! Now, they operate an adorable European restaurant, wine bar, and bakery just one block from Mirror Pond.

Brunch plates

First, we suggest a few small plates to share with the table. Try their Blistered Shishito Peppers topped with fleur de sel and served with a side of paprika aioli to start, and finish with the Churro Waffle Sticks rolled in cinnamon and sugar, served with a side of Belgian chocolate dipping sauce.

Then, it’s time for the main event! If you can’t decide on just one of the enticing brunch plates, consider sharing among the table. Sometimes, it’s too hard to choose one dish! A few noteworthy plates include:

  • French Benny: housemade puff pastry is topped with your choice of lox or jambon du Paris, two free-range eggs, grilled asparagus, and drizzled in classic Beurre Blanc.
  • Chakchouka: spiced tomato and roasted red pepper based served with two poached eggs and topped with feta cheese. This Middle Eastern favorite is served with a side of grilled bread to soak up every last morsel.
  • Spicy Prawn Toast: toasted housemade brioche is topped with grilled prawns and a spicy adobo sauce. Don’t forget to add an egg or two!

Brunch cocktails

The specialty brunch cocktails at Blissful Spoon are just as impressive as their internationally-inspired dishes. Of course, you can enjoy a traditional mimosa all day. Or, try their hibiscus mimosa for a floral spin on this brunchtime favorite.

Keep it classic with an Irish Coffee or Bloody Mary, or freshen up your morning with a White Sangria with strawberries and lemon. Looking for a really great glass of Champagne? Blissful Spoon offers Veuve Cliquot by the glass—now that’s something you won’t see every day in Central Oregon! Of course, you can purchase Veuve by the bottle, too.
