Mark your calendars and raise your glasses to Cork & Barrel 2024! Get ready for an exciting weekend as Cork & Barrel, the beloved three-day food and wine series, returns to its outdoor roots at COCC’s athletic field. Benefiting KIDS Center, this year’s event shines its light on Napa Valley wines through gourmet experiences and community spirit from July 18 to 20.

Wine Makers Dinners in Bend

The festivities start on Thursday, July 18, with two exclusive Winemaker Dinners. Flights Wine Bar will collaborate with Silver Oak Cellars, and Cellar 65 will team up with Chase Cellars, offering an intimate and exquisite dining experience.

Sip: A Wine Tasting Extravaganza

On Friday, July 19, from 4:30-7:30 pm, the big tent at COCC will host Sip, a popular wine tasting reception. More than 400 guests will enjoy tasting sips and samples from seven visiting Napa Valley wineries. But that’s not all! You’ll also find locally-crafted beer, cider, and canned cocktails from favorites like Avid Cider Co., Cascade Lakes Brewing Company, and more.

For non-alcoholic beverages, Bigfoot Beverages returns as the zero-proof sponsor. As you sip and savor, enjoy the smooth sounds of The Groove Merchants, a local jazz band. The night will conclude with two big raffle drawings, each offering a $1,000 cash prize. Attend Sip of Cork & Barrel.

Grand Cru: The Gala Event

Saturday, July 20, from 4:30-9:30 pm, marks the grand finale with the Grand Cru event. The evening begins with a Winemakers’ Reception, featuring hors d’oeuvres by Zydeco and live jazz by The Telegraph Trio Plus. Then, guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner prepared by Franco Console, Executive Chef of Ashland Springs Hotel and The Neuman Hotel Group.

quote

I wanted to share more than where to eat, but what to eat. And not just what, but why? From where is the food resourced? Should it be paired with a beer, or a cocktail—and what kind? But most importantly, share the faces and tell the stories behind the people who make it all happen, showing support for small business in and around Bend.
