Drinks on Wheels: Mobile Bar Carts Popular this Event Season

Central Oregon is undoubtedly a dreamy setting for weddings and events. From off-grid forest settings like Loloma Lodge to the Great Hall at Sunriver Resort, people travel near and far to host special events in Bend and beyond. In recent years, there has been a rise in a cool wedding trend: mobile bar carts. With 2022 set to be the busiest year for weddings since 1986, it’s no doubt that these mobile cocktail carts are in high demand.

Vintage Mobile Bars

Converted horse trailers, Volkswagen vans, and vintage campers are just a few vehicles used to serve cocktails and drinks for special events. Vintage mobile bars bring a cozy ambiance to weddings, leaving a lasting impression on guests. So, consider one of these OLCC-licensed mobile bar carts in Central Oregon to get your wedding or event buzzing.

Rollin’ Spirits Co.

Converting this 1976 horse trailer into a mobile bar was a labor of love. With a full tap system built-in, Rollin’ Spirits Co’s husband and wife team started bartending events from their mobile cart in 2019. From signature cocktails to beer and wine, Rollin’ Spirits Co. caters to all types of events.

If you prefer to leave the planning to the professionals, allow them to curate a drink menu for your special day. Co-owner Brooke Soloman brings over 18 years of experience in the events industry.

Lifted Spirits Co.

Lifted Spirits Co. is a boutique mobile bar servicing Central Oregon, owned and operated by Garrett Pennington and Samantha Glatt. With the trailer dating back to the 1970s, this delightful former horse trailer has been reincarnated as a mobile bar.

Affectionately named ‘Miley,’ the remodeled cart originated as a two-horse, straight load, bumper pull trailer with a unique history. After an eight-month rebuild, the vintage mobile cart is now successfully operating and thriving in its second year in business.

As a result, Lifted Spirits Co. now offers an array of packages, including a curated menu tailored to hosts and guests. They provide a variety of options, including beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Choosing your service package is easy! Here’s how it works. Firstly, you’ll choose a service package based on guest count. Secondly, you’ll want to decide on a “mixer” package for your preferred add-ins. Not sure which drinks to choose? Try adding their signature Blackberry Mojito to the menu!

Autobahn Coffee

Who said mobile drinks were limited to alcoholic beverages? Autobahn’s 1972 Volkswagen Westfalia has a built-in espresso machine, coffee brewer, and milkshake maker.

Craving something cold? Their dual-tap system pours cold brew coffee and kombucha for warmer days.

Block parties, relays, and community events are just a few possibilities for Autobahn’s coffee service. During the spring and summer of 2020, Autobahn turned losses into opportunities after all events were canceled and they used their coffee bus to make curbside mochas and lattés delivered straight to customers’ homes.

Now, Autobahn Coffee travels the Pacific Northwest serving curated coffee drinks. Hire this vintage coffee van to serve coffee drinks to perk up wedding guests, caffeinate company parties, or rejuvenate family and guests for a post-wedding brunch.

Tumbleweed Beverage Bar

Lacy Dynes, owner of Tumbleweed Beverage Bar, spent her life riding horses. As a result, she started her own mobile bartending service in 2020 after turning her vintage horse trailer into a stylish mobile bar. Her cart exudes western chic style with a flare of country charm.

Tumbleweed offers four different drink packages, including a non-alcoholic option. Additionally, they offer a champagne wall available as an add-on or a la carte.

The Bevy

“Born” in the Fall of 2020, The Bevy was created during the pandemic as a way to get small groups together outside. Since then, The Bevy has grown, now serving larger events and weddings.

With more than 30 combined years in the event and hospitality industry, owners of The Bevy shine by offering five-star bar service. The mobile bar is a vintage Piaggio Ape (pronounced ah-pay) from Italy, custom-fitted with two tap connections.

About Eat Drink Bend

Nancy Patterson of Eat Drink Bend takes a picture of beer on a table outside in Bend, Oregon.
quote

I wanted to share more than where to eat, but what to eat. And not just what, but why? From where is the food resourced? Should it be paired with a beer, or a cocktail—and what kind? But most importantly, share the faces and tell the stories behind the people who make it all happen, showing support for small business in and around Bend.
