Bend food lovers, get ready! Authentic Vietnamese cuisine is making its way to the Old Mill District in late spring of 2025. The highly-anticipated Pho 88 is set to open this May.
Taking over the former Mill Works Pub location at 330 SW Powerhouse Dr., Suite 150, this new addition to Bend’s dining scene promises to deliver traditional Vietnamese flavors with a menu packed full of comforting and flavorful dishes.
A Familiar Face Returns to Old Mill District
Pho 88 is the latest venture from Alice Nguyen, a seasoned restaurateur with deep ties to the Old Mill District. Having previously managed Mio Sushi and operated her own restaurant in Vietnam, Nguyen is no stranger to running successful dining establishments.
“I loved everything about the Old Mill District,” Nguyen shared. “And I am beyond excited to get back down there to work with them again and add a Vietnamese restaurant to the district.”

A Taste of Vietnam in Bend
Pho 88 will offer a diverse menu of Vietnamese favorites. Of course, it will feature its signature pho— a staple in Vietnamese cuisine. Diners can choose from options like steak, brisket, meatball, oxtail, and chicken, each served in a deeply flavorful broth packed with fresh herbs and spices.
Beyond pho, the menu will feature:
- Rice noodle soups & vermicelli bowls loaded with vibrant, aromatic ingredients
- Banh mi sandwiches served on crusty baguettes with savory meats and fresh toppings
- Appetizers like fresh spring rolls, crispy wontons, tempura, and fried chicken wings
- Rice plates & vegetarian-friendly dishes with gluten-free options available
To complement the menu, Pho 88 will also feature a full bar. Guests can enjoy wine, beer, and craft cocktails, making it an excellent spot for casual lunches and lively evening outings.

Excitement Builds for Bend’s Newest Vietnamese Eatery
“This will be a fantastic addition for food lovers in Bend who are looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine,” said Beau Eastes, marketing director at the Old Mill District. “Alice is a phenomenal operator; we’re so thankful she chose us as the place to launch her first Bend restaurant.”
For Nguyen, Pho 88 is the culmination of more than a decade of experience in the restaurant industry. And, she’s thrilled to introduce more of Vietnam’s rich culinary traditions to the Bend community.
“I am thrilled to bring another authentic Vietnamese restaurant to Bend and share some more traditional Vietnamese dishes with our community,” Nguyen said. “We are just so happy to bring this concept to the Old Mill District and be part of that team again.”
